Historical NYPD building's community facility-NYU has mega student housing across the street, how about community facilities...?

North side of the stunning historic Police building...a secret garden.....

South side...a secret...no, but my secret wish...part of my wish for all mega dorms and student housing facilities by "not for profit" Universites that occupy the area...community outreach resource centers and here on the south side of the stunning NYPD building is a senior citizen center...

NYU mega student housing across from the historic NYPD headquarters and this mysterious glass store front pictured here could be one of the many community facility I feel NYU owes the communities it has come to "occupy" and crush with NYU-mega-community crushing domination. The rest of the store fronts are retail and the trolley kept stopping to pick up a student or two underscoring the terrible waste and congestion caused by way too many buses and trolleys for the mega empire that hides behind it's not for profit status.

and congests the area which NYU does in way too many ways...

NYU's new most hideous mega dorms with glass mirrors that reflect a history destroyed and a community no longer welcome. If only they reflect the memory of the parishoners of St. Ann's crying and praying on the street, some on their knees...I will never forget...if only the parents of NYU students could see that reflection...

NYU's logo is the historical Washington Arch but they tear down our historic buildings.

NYU's logo should be the Pallidium dorm with a dollar bill not the historic arch...

Thomas used to sleep on the steps of St. Ann's...The first night he left the safety of St. Ann's and slept in Cooper Park he was robbed. There is good news and that is Thomas is no longer homeless and has a steady job. Where a few homeless people slept, now NYU wants to cram at least 700 students maybe more and they have never to date answered my concerns about infrastructure and yes, they laid down some fancy new pipes but they connect to "old" New York pipes. AM New York published my letter "Destroying 'old' New York" Jan 11 on this and my concerns for the safety of our community and the entire city. That was before the horrifying steam pipe blast and in my neighborhood the infrastructure breaks are a constant.

Jim Power and Jesse Jane came to visit and for now they are no longer homeless thank goodness!
